What kind of record collector are you?

Pre internet I used to hang out for the monthly catalog from Craig Moerer - His company, still called ‘records by mail’ had (and probably still does) over 1000000 records in stock. I used to dream about the crazy finds he would come into buying out distributors and old shops of unplayed stock in the middle of know-where… I have the sickness

THE HUSBAND/WIFE

I tend to only buy records I REALLY want on vinyl these days, due to money and space, streaming is where it’s at for me now, though I’ll never get rid of the records I have.

Amoeba…that’s a big name for such a small shop…
I’ll get me coat…

I’m not too far away from you, just beneath the tower, catch me if you can :slightly_smiling_face:

We used to go here https://boingboing.net/2015/10/13/las-late-sunset-strip-tower.html
They would carry grey import, Japanese pressings, which they kept behind the counter.
You had to be in the know, and ask for the special selection.
