The pricing seems quite volatile.
Just now completed my latest M.o.M. order. >>
A couple more bottles of this 'un >
Arran Machrie Moor peated cask strength single malt
Quite bowled over by bt t’ Machrie Moor cask strength after my first dram last night
Another bottle of this, hard to resist with £7 off in this weeks flash sale
Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire 10 Year Old Cask Strength (Batch 03)
And another bottle of this on behalf of a good mate & fellow whisky lover, who was quite wowed on trying it.
Arran The Bothy Quarter Cask (70cl, 56.2%)
Also a couple more Glencairn tasting glasses + a couple of glass lids. These will be handy as I like to do my pours well in advance of having a dram. I use some lids for small circular clip seal tubs at present & whilst these are ideal for my Bormioli Rocco Sorgente tumblers they are oversized & somewhat ungainly perched atop a Glencairn tasting glass.
Just ordered the Machrie Moor CS, Chris, from MOM. This is a replacement for the Kilkerran that they emailed me back to say had run out. So the order is the Seaweed Aeons CS, Arran Bothy & Machrie Moor. Told them to wait before shipping until I had made my mind up about what to replace the Kilkerran with ( I will still buy a bottle of that, looks good whisky ).
Be interested to hear what you all think of the Arran, it’s on my list to try
I love the 10 & Sauternes, so very high hopes for the Bothy & Machrie Moor. Will report back!
Saw my folks last weekend, the first time in over a year due to covid, apart from my uncle’s funeral last November.
My uncle was a big whisky fan, and among his stuff that my dad is clearing out, was a stash of whisky, of which I received these. The Lagavulin 16 is from 2008, so will be interesting how that batch compares to my recent bottle. The Tobermory I believe dates back to being bottled in the early to mid 90s, same with the Tormore, which is a travel 1ltr job. The Glenfiddich was bottled in 2006. I cracked the Oban open last night, slainte uncle!
Picked up a bottle of the Bodega today Dom. First dram on the go atm. Very promising, like a supercharged version of the 10!
Good to hear
Master of Malt’s Youtube channel is, atm, live streaming a live tasting with Ardbeg’s distillery manager, Colin Gordon. Interesting stuff.
First dram of the seaweed. I can see what the fuss is about!
First dram of the Machrie Moor CS. Blimey, that’s a tropical fruit explosion !
Shackleton is 17 quid at the House of Bezos atm. Well worth it for that.
Latest additions, probably the last for the month! The Kilkerran is the heavily peated cask strength bottling.
Like that Mick, got a bottle round about xmas.
Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair 25 pounds a bottle in Sainsburys.
Bought the father in law this for Sunday
