My computer is telling me I need to install this.
I am wary of OS Updates, is it going to break everything?

All done on 4 machines here. Nothing much to see.

While it’s rage inducing that it chooses to do it when it pleases, e.g. when you need to reboot while doing something and it decides to update without any warning or choice, so far the W10 updates have been fine with no issues. Make sure to check privacy settings as it sometimes decides to update them for you (and not in a way that benefits you).
