World War 3

Again the situation’s sufficiently extreme that it doesn’t matter much what systems you actually have in place. The only thing that matters is that the enemy believes you have a MAD system in place.

Yemen.

Heard some of an interview earlier with an intelligence type (maybe Richard Dearlove) who seemed fairly confident Israel/US know where the uranium is. He said they’d be aware Iran would try and move it, and that risk was of less concern, relatively, than the progress of their nuclear capability.

Perhaps the best bet, although Iran’s friends there are the Houthis, of course, not the ‘government’ and the country is a war zone with US-friendly Saudi backing the opposition.

Maybe somewhere in the Horn of Africa ? I guess Sudan’s radical Islam is now a busted flush. Boko Haram in Nigeria are Muslim, but they’re Sunnis and probably hate the Shias almost more than they hate everyone else.

Otherwise you’re left with one of the 'Stans, if you can find friends there.

Sounds like Iran is trying to hit US airbases in Qatar and Iraq now. I guess whether the US responds depends on the damage done.

Edit: apparently strikes were coordinated with Qatar, like their attack on Iraq after the assassination of Solomeini. Oil prices are falling assuming this will be an off ramp for everyone.

Edit 2: Now ceasefire declared. Until Iran starts to rebuild and then round we go again.

And >1,000,000 Russian, Syrians, North Korean, &c casualties - yet the US looks increasingly determined to back the wrong side…

Yup.
The US is now withholding supply of arms to Ukraine which have been allocated and paid for. Surely that is tantamount to supporting Russia in this?

Daddy Vladdy says “Jump!”, bitchboi Donny asks “How high?”…

This seems to me a reasonable evaluation of the situation:

They should have shot them down. Russia is probing the weaker NATO countries and defences trying to cause distractions. They know very well they would get absolutely trounced in a war with NATO.

A clear message needs to be sent that there’s no fucking about with NATO over Ukraine.

Our failure to react appropriately to the invasion in 2014 and subsequent shootdown of MH17 emboldened Russia to attack again in 2022. We have to use deadly force in all future incursions - in 2025 there are no such thing as “accidental” violations of airspace…

Short sharp shock reqd … however subsequent military action may have to be carried out without American targeting/satellite assistance. …risky.

The orange one is not to be counted on or trusted to be there for “us”. Poland …baltics …Europe for that matter is just some random bunch of foreigners where their burger meat does not come from…to the average MAGA wanker…

However…constant appeasement… dithering has to stop.

Of course I don’t know, but might we be holding off for ‘tit-for-tat avoidance’ reasons ?

Does it ever suit us to find ourselves in their airspace, and would we then prefer to come home in one piece in return for letting them go home likewise ? Maybe we’ll never know …
