I’m trying to put a wee system together as a gift for my mum and her partner. They’ve always had sonos but fancy something a touch better.
I’ve managed to get a nice marantz pm6006, which has a built in DAC and phono stage. But what I need to find is some suitable speakers.
The marantz sound is on the smooth side, so probably no overly warm vintage boxes for this project, but interested if anyone has anything of note.
Will need posted, so if that’s not your thing, then don’t tell me about them

Yeah I probably should have been more specific, the amp only cost £130, so really looking sub £200 and ideally sub £150 for the speakers.
Also for the sake of saving everyone’s time, no need to send me eBay links. I too can search eBay
It was really more to see if any forum members had something sitting in a dusty cupboard that they wanted to move on.

Pair of Cura CA5 any use? Small sealed boxes so need a sub if they want bass, but sound clear and clean. £80 plus carriage?
I’d give these a go, really impressed with my pair.
