Anyone got a NAS that’s surplus to requirements at all? Doesn’t need to be anything special, just so long as it can connect to the router.
I’ve got a very old Netgear Ready NAS Duo RND2000 if that’s any good.
It hasn’t got drives in but you can pick 1 or 2 up easily.
Worked fine when I last used it.
I have a vaugely beefy QNAP TS-269L

It’s been upgraded to the maximum 3GB of ram and has a pair of 2TB drives inside it.
Its a surprisingly capable dual core Atom processor, and I have it running daily backups, a couple of sync jobs, and amazingly it managed (just) to act as my ROON server also.
The latter part is why I’m moving it on. I’d like to get a newer unit with SSD capability and a bit more grunt to do roon with a bit more snap.

That’s very kind but @mickbald has very kindly sorted me out with one.
