Ye olde worlde hi fi corner shoppe

I do like that. Can’t imagine having only one tuner tho’ - I always have to have a back-up, albeit nothing of that quality.

Decent YouTube (720p option) added showing how smooth it tracks and instantly locks into a rock stable signal

Always wanted a TU-X1.

I had one and a second spares for repair Guy…Fabulous sounding thing however took up considerably more space…The 9900 was subjectively 80% fidelity wise however after a couple of Mod’s and componant upgrades I was happy at 90% and kept the 9900

Fucker’s causing me to browse through vintage tuners…

Yep, another favourite thing to do on the bay if only for the laughs on pricing (NAT03 for 870 of your quids, sir? 250 quid for a Technics 8080 like mine where an unfooed version puts the audio signal through a 4558 :face_vomiting:?)

Can you get one with a clock on it too?

It’s usually the bit that makes the tea which is the hardest to keep working properly.

What is the latest on the FM switch off?

It’ll all be gone by 2005 :+1:

I remember picking up a lovely Rotel RT-990BX at that kind of time for absolute peanuts.

Still sounded shit using any indoor aerial I could find in my London flat, so I rapidly moved on to internet radio for my Radio 3 needs…

In July 2020, provided the stations also broadcast on digital radio, UK government has decided to allow Ofcom to renew analogue FM and AM licences for a further ten-year period

I used to own a Sansui G-401 years ago.
Nothing as posh as that though.

All this talk has me hankering to make an aerial an get my old FM3 tuner into service
