I didn’t need to ask how they were packed. They were described as brand new, they weren’t, they had been used by the RNIB as masters for an audio book version of the bible, so the cockpunching is for falsely describing them, and dragging out the return/refund process as long as humanly possible.

No, I think I was offered it as I’d been having a mild recurrence of some asthma but I believe i can get the jab done when I go back to see the doctor about that next week. I was surprised by the numbers queueing last Saturday though.

The pharmacist who did mine said “If you’re entitled to it for free at your GP then you’re entitled to it for free from anyone else - your GP is just another business, charging the NHS for treating you, and pharmacists can do that too”. So I’d give Boots a call and ask if they have the stuff and whether you fall into one of the groups eligible for free (to you) treatment.
I don’t know how the economics behind the scenes work. I’ve come across suggestions that GPs have to take their vaccines from a stock which has been procured centrally by some part of the NHS, presumably to try to drive costs down by buying in bulk. One of the reasons GPs don’t have enough is that their allocations out of this central stock are being limited. How do I know that come February, when the risk is mostly over, they’ll have loads.

My sister for blaming me for giving her husband Prostate Cancer. Yes, you read that right, I am to blame because of “negative energy”.
He had a scare several years ago and they refused medical treatment. Preferring to cure a potential malignancy with Reiki and vinegar*.
At the time, I was going through my F-i-L deterioration and finally his painful death, and the death months before of a mate from the same thing. I made the suggestion that they should consider “proper” medical treatment first. I became Persona non Grata until a couple of years ago when they moved to France.
I have mentioned nothing about medical stuff since.
Yesterday, out of the blue, I was accused of causing his relapse because I didn’t believe in “magic” !
He now has a catheter and faces the results from his latest test which, doctors predict, will show an aggressive advance into glands and bones. He’s cactus. All because she believes in Voodoo and forced him to follow her beliefs (he’s an artist who just goes along with stuff).
So, instead of admitting that SHE is murdering her husband, she blames somebody close who doesn’t believe her hocus-fucking-pocus !!!
*personally I thought their live performances were better than their recordings.
