ha ha, a ring road in name only! no ring at all just a series of disjointed roads with lots of traffic lights. Yes I would agree always quicker through the centre
another factor is that some postcodes in Bradford are famous for having over 40% of uninsured drivers, do wonder if ANPR is starting to have an impact on that?
Traffic. Try setting Google to the time of day you will be travelling. (Also google real time traffic information - sometimes itâs good that everyone has smartphones with GPS ).
I did set to Friday after lunch. It shows (predicted, obvs) congestion in the city centre. But having checked it also shows congestion on the âring roadâ. Sounds like itâs to be avoided âŚ

Iâd just follow whatever google says in real-time, I.e. use it as a sat nav. Itâs generally pretty good ime and certainly better than any car sat navs.
Does Google take into account real-time uninsured cunts in Bradford though?
unlikely although look out for BMWs or Audis being ragged around the street and youâll have a clue!
interestingly Google maps set for Friday recommends for me M62/M66 north through Burnley / Nelson, but relies on M62 not being screwed up at that time
