I’m looking for a pair of 300B Tubes at about this price point. The Genalex Gold Lion PX300B seem to get pretty much universally good reviews. Does anybody use these or have reco’s for anything decent at a similar cost ?
Anybody have a pair (or similar, reasonable decent value 300B) they are happy to sell ?

I use EH 300b golds as recommended by Kevin at Definitive.
They have some good priced ones on their Stuff site, and he may do a deal on the KR’s one he has rebranded LV.
Genalex appears to be one of the Sovtek (Russian) brands nowadays. I’m surprised these can sell in the UK without an extra hefty tariff being applied based on their country of origin. Never had any quality issues with Sovtek or EH 300B’s so they should be ok. Maybe also look at JJ’s 300B (made in Slovakia)
I had a pair a few years ago and wasn’t keen, a bit lightweight and preferred the EH types. JJ are also worth a shout at this sort of price
The EH or PSvane on Definitve look quite good value
I have a quad of Golden Dragon you could have pretty cheap, had them about 10 years.
They have 4300B lettering under the logo
Thanks for the input chaps. I don’t want to buy anything Russian, so looks like EH, JJ, possibly PSVane is the way to go.

I don’t suppose anyone has a matched pair of EH Gold, JJ or PSVane knocking around unloved ?

Most of them explicitly say ‘Made In Russia’ on them.
Ironically for a while Mr Putin actually put an export ban on them in retaliation for western sanctions. I don’t know where things stand now though, or if exports continued to happen but were laundered through some nominally neutral country.
