Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today

Those look a very tidy pair, congrats. I’ve always preferred the slim look of the H2 over the Ta’us I’ve got. Finding that the 909 drives them really well.

Happy listening :slightly_smiling_face:

Cheers - the picture is a web download, though mine are in the same finish (and quite tidy).

My Gato drives them very well, though I’m still messing with setup - they sound pretty much perfect apart from some overfruitiness in the bass.

Big speakers that sound like really big speakers.

Whodathunkit?

Don’t know what the Ta’us look like, but the H2s are a bit brutal aesthetically. If they didn’t sound so good, they’d never have had a chance in my house. They are tolerable.

I think H2s look great

Yep so do I. Much WAF :slightly_smiling_face:

They are lovely, always enjoyed listening to those that Rick had, are these the very same well travelled ones?

Heard them once at Scalford, in The Gun Room I think, playing L.A. Woman. Sounded great, one of the best at the show. Not sure if a Decca cart was being used but I think I saw one in the set-up. Great set-up though.

I believe so. Chap I bought them from also has Rick’s old Tri Vista amp. Yum.

Ha! It’s a different kind of WAF.

A very different kind indeed.

Being trying out one of these over the last few days.

In that case I spied them in his man cave a couple of weeks ago! Lionel

I got one of them, they are not bad.

What are your thoughts on it? What are you using it with/cartridge etc?

Using a Hana EL,and tried a koetsu with it briefly yesterday.

It doesn’t have the airy sound of a belt drive, but sounds pretty good,

Nice to have 33/44 without having to faff with a belt.
