Aldi is great but while you may save plenty against your normal food bill youend up spending twice as much on thier excellent booze

My bad spelling above is not the result of Aldi’s many excellent alcohol products (yet) but sausage fingers.

As a First Aider at my last employer, I once had to deal with an alcoholic who had come to work on a bottle of vodka. He was sat at his desk with his hands held out in front of him, repeating “Look at my fingers! They look like sausages.”
He lost his job, but I’ll always remember Mr Sausage-Fingers.

I tried our local Aldi, and I thought the food was shit - it was like a jumble sale. Their bottled beer was ok.

Booze from aldi is great. The gin pictured above won some sort of best gin award.
Decent real ale for 30% to 40% less than Sainsburys.
