Leyland Bus built train. Rectification on these put Leyland Bus into some financial trouble. Volvo paid for this when it took Leyland Bus over in 1988…

Excellent article.
I noticed it was written by Roger French,
I wonder if that is the same Roger French who ran Brighton and Hove Bus Co until about 10 years ago?

For it is he…:sunglasses:

I knew him when he was the Chairman of Trustees of Martlets Hospice in Hove where I worked for over 10 years.
Small world!

You will need an all line rover to travel on this tonight.

Thanks to the Beeching Cuts, there’s no service near me. I shall write a letter of complaint in green ink. :memo::email::rage:

Went on the romney hythe and dymchurch railway the other day, I have wanted to travel on it for ages.

Finding this photo of my Grandad from 1931 spurred us on to visit. He visited as part of a holiday, but the line was a public line and used mostly for kids going to school. All the original trains are still owned by the line.

Our visit coincided with a Christmas special :mx_claus:

Never done it, but will do so one day. Not the easiest to reach though without a car sadly. Need to do a bit of research for a summer visit.

Let me know when. Im happy to drive from where I am to the RH&D. Haven’t been there for years! :sunglasses:

It was great fun. I usually go to the bluebell railway as it’s so close to me. Want to try the lavender line at some point as that’s not too far either.

We stayed at Winchelsea, drank at the Rye Waterworks (properly great tap room) and went for a walk on Camber sands. Made a nice weekend of it

Never seen one of these before.

Very bad news if this happens. I hope UKG pulls it’s fucking fingers out… Lots of stock local to us needs to be replaced. Class 465 and 466.

Fucking busted, the cunts

I see it’s written by Janine Booth. I won’t be reading it.
