I would be a little surprised if Paul uses the S word - Most birders give a tchh sound when they hear sea added to gull

I was pulling his leg. I’ve heard him make a much naughtier sound than that when someone said the S word within earshot

Yes, out dog walking and watched it for half an hour. It was quite spectacular.
Not trying to compete (well I am of course) but this reminded me of a memorable first evening on a Scottish island (Colonsay) a couple of years ago
