I can vouch for this. They are just as good the next day after a few minutes in the air fryer.
I bought an air fryer earlier this year half expecting it to be consigned to a long list of barely used kitchen gadgets. It’s been in regular use since we bought it and I wouldn’t be without one now.
Perfect for the two of us at home.
No magic, just saves the tedious warm up time for a full oven.
We have a tower 40 quid job and it does what we need.
They are all much of a muchness. You pay for size and the logic board v the analogue timers.
The expensive ones probably work out more than the oven would do in the long run!
We’ve got the air-fryer version of the Instant Pot here - works a charm. I think I fundamentally view it as a reheating machine. Quicker and more efficient than getting the oven on, but doesn’t turn things soggy like the microwaves does. Chips, pizza, quiche, spring rolls etc all reheat a charm in it.
And because it’s an Instant Pot it does about 18 other things as well, including slow cooker, pressure cooker, sous vide bath, and yoghurt making. Also useful for proving dough - particularly good for those with limited kitchen space.
So when I said I don’t intend to use it to cook chips, the first thing Hel said was ‘yeah yeah I get it you’re going to make fritters and spicy rice and tater tots and crispy tofu etc, but bet you can’t make French fries that taste any good…’
We have had three in the past , now being used by the family , so we ended up with a …Sage
combi microwave / oven / air fryer …no probs cooks a treat .
