All the Football (Part 2)

Who do you fancy?

Amorim probably

Getting pumped at the moment. Arsenal deserve it.

Youā€™ll be ok once Arsenal get their customary red card.

Tbf the on field ref gave an even worse penalty in the Chelsea v Newcastle game which VAR overturned,

Itā€™s a stinker, it really is. :person_shrugging:

Will take that, not a great performance. Arsenal too risk averse at home again though so fuck 'em.

He was always going.
I think he just had a stay of execution while they sorted plan B.

Was a crazy decision to keep him after beating city in the fa cup.
New manager now has to play catch up with the rest of the season

At least Southgate will steady the ship :+1:

Sounds like the penalty decision was a shocker (havenā€™t seen it) but itā€™s like putting Dobbin down on a Monday rather than drawing it out another week. Best for everyone. Well, everyone but us.

Apart from seeming to be clueless tactically, sending the team out with no idea how they were supposed to play & buying, at hugely inflated prices, players whoā€™ve mainly just done ok in the Eredivisie, one of my main complaints is how heā€™s actually handled some of the younger players. The situations with Greenwood, Sancho & currently Amad could all have been handled differently. hopefully they can hang onto Amad if the new manager applies some common sense.

from the Guardian:

Ruud: Any advice Eric?

EtH: Here, keep these 3 envelopes. Open them whenever you are faced with a crisis that looks insurmountable.

Weeks pass by and Ruud faces his first crisis. Opens the first envelope. ā€œBlame me.ā€

Ruud puts the blame on his predecessor in an articulate way and gets away.

Months roll by and he encounters his second crisis. Time for the second envelope. ā€œBlame the schedule and VAR.ā€

Ruud escapes again and things settle down. Not unsurprisingly the third crisis blows up in his face.

Ruud opens the third envelope. ā€œMake 3 envelopes.ā€

First time Iā€™ve seen that penalty decision.

Mind boggling.

Canā€™t help thinking that if a dodgy penalty decision stops you as ManU drawing with West Ham then the issue is not necessarily just the penalty decision.
