The 10 game obligation to buy was a daft thing for all concerned imo.
Despite Villa fucking him about Elliott has been a model of professionalism.

Having watched a podcast including a Villa journo, it seems they had decided, probably down to PSR, that werenāt going to buy Elliot. Iām guessing the deal was done my Monchi before he was sacked.
From what the journo said Emery mentioned that if the obligation to buy was dropped, Villa would pay a cost to Liverpool for breaking the contract but would play him, as heās a good player, therefore putting him the shop window for the summer.
Of course, at the moment, Liverpool and Villa are rivals for Champions League spots, something Liverpool probably didnāt envision when making the deal, so now donāt want to help Villa even it financially hurts them - and to be honest as a Villa fan I donāt blame them.
I feel for Elliot as heās not been supported by Liverpool and has been royally shafted by Villa. I do hope in the Summer he gets a deal that suits him as there is a very good player there.

Top 2 get automatic promotion to WSL. 3rd has a play-off vs the bottom team in WSL this season.
Charlton are still unbeaten in the league since November 2024.
