Cracking game.

I reckon Brentford deserved to win that. Title race wide open now.

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to TNT about the 10 changes to his starting line-up: “I don’t see there’s a risk, I see a good opportunity and chance for players that are not usually starting games to have minutes, to enjoy the game and go through the round - that is what we want.”

On if the Premier League is West Ham’s priority: "No not at all. We respect the FA Cup.

Fuck right off, just say it like it is.

We’re playing a bottom four League One side so I’m trying to get away with resting my best players for the Premiership matches.

Not any more! That’s that then.

Some decisions were frustrating but I still prefer it without VAR.

Regardless of the game, this guy is supporter of the season for me

Entire game he had that on.

This is a bit mental.

Spurs?

Another good win for Plymouth. They’ve had a good run since Christmas. Thought they were going to div 2.

We are going to division 2. The old division 2. What a game that was.

Wrexham hitting top 6.

How is Cleverly getting a tune out of them (under this board) when Rooney & the subsequent stand in manager couldn’t? Some smart recruitment or just better coaching/tactics.

Tbf , I’m still to be convinced about Cleverly. Don’t think he did anything at Watford to warrant us taking a gamble on him. But , that’s what we do , we have to be risky with recruitment in the hope that it pays off. Hence Rooney.
We had some great home performances under Rooney with a squad that was ill equipped for championship football. If he could have tightened us up away from home then you never know he may have just kept his job. He was generally well liked by the fans though despite many not wanting him as manager. His replacement, Miron Muslic was a class above and I think he’ll go far. With a few more games in the season he may have just kept us up but the damage was done by not getting rid of Rooney sooner. I’ll take the Fa cup win over Liverpool any day.
When we should have been hiring someone who’d been there and done it we went for Rooney !
Muslic was pretty much gone after the final whistle against Leeds last game. He made promises about staying but he was all about self promotion. Fair enough. He was dedicated to his job in a way that Rooney never was.
There was a massive turnaround of player this season and without a manager or director of football the club employed a consultant recruitment team and to say they were sold short would be an understatement. They’ve since been fired. And our ex manager Derek Adams has been brought in as director of football and recruitment. Every player he’s brought in this January has made a huge difference.
You have to give cleverly some credit but some has to go to the board and owner for owning up to their mistakes and bringing in proven players not just promising players with a view to a sell on. And Adams deserves credit too. He’s been mentoring Cleverly and you can see it. It’s hopefully just what Cleverly needs.
