Well done Villa, easy, easy win.

It would have made no difference to the outcome but how do they get just 1 minute of added time? Apart from the goal there were 11 substitutions

Overjoyed, 44 years waiting for all the fans and Holte Enders in the sky.

Emery can have the key to the city

Super John McGinn has been immense. Signed by Steve Bruce for £3.5m and had dragged Villa up
from the Championship, into the top 4 (so far) and now lifts a European trophy.

Been different class in the last few games, outstanding.

Genuine question; how many times does this guy have to win this before he gets to keep it and they make another one that’s an effigy of his head?

That was how how to win a final!

Charlton Women had an odd season. They were leading WSL2 almost the whole time including a 14 month unbeaten run which stretched back into the previous season. But injuries & poor form saw them dropping to 3rd on the final day. Top two, Birmingham & Palace got automatic promotion. But 3rd this year gets them a play off against the bottom club in the WSL (Leicester) which happens at the Valley this coming Saturday so we’re going. It’s to be shown live on BBC2.
Sophie had a good season & actually won the league’s Golden Glove award for the most clean sheets. Also managed to win Save of the Month 3 times. I really hope they can get up & stay up but it’ll be difficult. I think their funding is less than pretty much everyone else’s & it’ll be life changing if they can do it.

Is it a one off game or two legs?

One off. Leicester Women have been poor in the WSL this season but they’ll be motivated by this as a get out of jail card. So it’ll be nerve wracking.

What do we think of the England squad? Any surprising omissions or inclusions?

I’m a bit surprised by the number of Newcastle players and also the inclusion of Jordan Henderson.

The front 3 also seem quite old & not exactly quick.

I’d like to have seen Alex Scott & Morgan Gibbs-White out there, maybe Wharton too.

Left back also might be a weak point.

The one Newcastle player I think has truly deserved to be picked is Lewis Hall. Unfathomable.

Gibbs white has looked one of the best inform players the last couple of months.

In that heat you almost need to rotate all the midfield during each game I’d of thought
