My plums have started dropping(!) - it’s crumble time
My all time fave is apricot. Actually apricot tarte tatin, dried, stewed, anything apricot.
But trying to find decent, ripe, juicy apricots in this country is fruitless.
My favourite is rhubarb, cooked with ginger and port. Covered with a crumble and crushed walnut mixture.
Salivating now.
I love rhubarb and we grow our own. Rhubarb and apple is a regular here.
I just lament the lack of apricots. Tinned just don’t do it.
Rhubarb strawberry, rhubarb apple strawberry, apple strawberry, rhubarb apple, raisins/sultanas in any of the apple combinations . . .
lunch in Arbroath - Smokies from a smoke House next to a pub, right by the harbour where the fish were landed.
Amazing flavour
pub is on the left, smokehouse just behind the fisheries van
Brilliant
Try Ricotta as an alternative.
Can the mustard and I’m all over that!
I applaud you on the second comma
Oxford Comma FTW.
