My all time fave is apricot. Actually apricot tarte tatin, dried, stewed, anything apricot.

But trying to find decent, ripe, juicy apricots in this country is fruitless.

My favourite is rhubarb, cooked with ginger and port. Covered with a crumble and crushed walnut mixture.

Salivating now.

I love rhubarb and we grow our own. Rhubarb and apple is a regular here.

I just lament the lack of apricots. Tinned just don’t do it.
