Greed out at the street food market (not eating tonight).

Jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain.

No room on plate for potatoes so a big bag of tangy cheese Doritos.

Mammoth batch of what promises ter be a really nice chilli.

500g of lean pork mince, 1kg of lean steak mince. Four ghost chillis :hot_pepper: , crushed garlic, chopped red onion, medley of yellow green 'n red peppers, chopped celery, tomato puree, tinned tomatoes & black beans + black eye beans with 3 squares of Ugandan single origin 85% cocoa solids dark chocolate.

Brought up to a ten minute bubble on t’ hob, now in the oven fer a couple of hours low 'n slow cooking at gas mark 2.

Slight quandary as whether to have first serving with Mexican style rice or chips or French fries. Should get 7 good sized portions from this batch.

Quite right too :+1: Plain long grain Basmati rice for the win, imo.

Ive got some long grain + wild rice too. I am quite partial to chilli 'n chips tho.

Chilli (no namby pamby deseeding o’ t’ ghost chillies) :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: , French fries :fries: & a nice dollop of soured cream.

Assertively hot, but not silly, bags o’ flavour!
