The 2446s are generally less desirable than the alnico (or neodymium) drivers. That said, with these things you can buy them, play about with them and sell them for the same amount or thereabouts.

Playing about with the OBs and woofers to see if 1x15 per side will be loud enough. Thought I’d try FuzzMeasure. I like the really short sweep duration but not sure if it is severely hampering accuracy.
I used an Eminence 15 Alpha in OB and it was great for anything except proper bass-heavy music

Is the plan a 3-way with the Monacor doing some mid-bass/low midrange?
It does, only thing i messed with was crossover point, it wss much nicer at 350hz than 500hz, not a huge surprise there.
It’s actually pretty good like that, the bass rattles a bit, the stereo is good and not distracting, there is a bump somewhere in the horn response and I think a tweeter will go a long way to making things sound ‘right’.
Will build stands tomorrow.
BMS drivers, tractrix 200 horns I think.

Thanks, no Monacor experiment ended, the top of the baffle will be removed, tweeter of some description at some stage. Considering 2x15 per side as well.
