My motherâs father. We are not sure when this was taken. He was involved in Operation Overlord but we donât know in what capacity. I will shortly be requesting his service record. My old dear also has wartime photos of him in Hamburg.
I pinched this photo to display along with his medals as my daughter will be covering WW2 next term.
