Architecture

I’m confident I would be awarded the shark eyed glare of contempt as my wife prepared her Salmon signature dish and I decided it was time for a leisurely read and dump whilst banging my head on that silver boxed thing.

Don’t forget the kids bringing their mates around to point at you.

And if the designers have really been on the ball with space saving the pan could also double a sous vide machine considering it’s locality.

What I want to know is where do you put the 16A?

You mean the dishwasher ?

VB

Fridge / microwave / intergalactic portal, you know the normal things you put at breakneck height behind a khazi.

I used it for one piece of work I think, calculating the drag coefficient of a Lear jet … I don’t remember spending much time in there otherwise…

Always love the Coventry Cathedral, sited next to the ruined Cathedral next door:

That top photo is a cracker Rob

There was also this brutalist gem, our old University Art/Design building, named after Graham Sutherland.

I really fancy going back and spending a weekend walking around photographing a lot of the architecture, its not really something I thought of when I was living there.

Did you watch Bunkers, Brutalism and Bloodymindedness: Concrete Poetry with Jonathan Meades on BBC 4 earlier in the year - excellent stuff.

I always liked the Ziggurats and the library on the campus at UEA.

An old uni friend now makes a living as an illustrator, a super talented artist/musician/magician(!), my favourite of his above being the old library of Brum, brutalist masterpiece that has been bulldozed for some dull office space.
