Wasn’t the Tricorn building voted ugliest in the U.K?
Locally it was hated.
I remember it from the 80’s it was damp, dark and just depressing inside. Once you got close to the outside it was mouldy, water and limescale stained and just fucking ugly. The whole area was a shit hole and for the tricorn to be worse than its surroundings was quite an achievement.
Yes and Yes.
Hopefully the bridge can be disconnected and the legs can collapse for when you reach a certain age and your knees start rebelling!
Brilliant until a snowspeeder gets a tow rope.
Yes, mum used to park up there and go to the Charlotte Street market😁
I worked next to it in the 60’s and your are right, that picture doesn’t show the true horror.
Should be in the Lego thread
Was a really cool looking building and an innovative concept!
The scaffolding just came off this enormous old folks home that has been erected near me. It looks like somoene has cocked up with those double doors, one floor up with no access.
They probably didn’t fancy threading the steel staircase through the scaffolding
Yeah, it’s a bit odd that someone would see a need for a fire escape
That’s the exit, marked Care Quality Commission inspectors - this way
Aye, probably quite difficult to install a fire escape when there’s a scaffold tower occupying the exact same space.
Deck area in the future ?
More concerned at the use of shingle
Pass
Not sure that Building Control would say the same?
