Nah !

I saw that Frank Lloyd Wright’s Rayward–Shepherd House is up for $6m - so about £4.7m… Almost half the price and about 100x better.

Mmmmmm, spearmint green bathroom

8 million for the plot and a bulldozer.

that’s about it, unless it is listed the existing property is not long for this world

Ten apartments at a couple of mil each and you’ve doubled your money… Don’t imagine the neighbours will be too happy but they would be getting rid of that eyesore in the process.

Not sure it is an eyesore, but it is just reminiscent of many a standard detached house of 20 years subsequent so without posts like that it would be sort of anonymous.

I like it, but I don’t eight million pounds like it.

Yep, if modern is your thing (yes from me) it’s a beauty, and as the ad points out it’s untouched. I’d have it just for that staircase.
But not at that price

As a kid I recall several holiday lets we stayed in that had those interiors.

Looks like an unpleasant scar on the landscape.

Would be considerably more than ÂŁ8m if it was in Chelsea rather than Whaley Bridge.

Re The Line.

I shouldn’t be offended. Britain, Europe and America were no better back in the days post industrial revolution. But seeing various gulf states splurge money on vanity projects (and sport washing) using wealth & profit derived from the fuel many of us are obliged to buy and burn knowing full well it’s fucking the planet sticks in the throat a bit.

It’s basically Elysium except the outside will be barren empty desert rather that barren empty space.
Got hundreds of billions burning a hole in your pocket? Lets build a dystopian city for the mega rich.
Give it 50 years and it will be the only habitable place in Saudi once global warming really kicks in.
