I don’t get where people get there beliefs from. Take us in Wales, according to the EU the Valleys is just about the poorest area in the whole EU and has benefited from EU money to try and improve it, and yet they voted to leave blaming their state on the EU. The fact that the second biggest economy in the EU has the poorest area seems completely lost on them. Hopefully post Brexit some of these people may realise that the state they are in is more down to those closer to home, although sadly I doubt they will.

One reason I am so surprised bojo and trump got power is that they are so inarticulate. They can barely string a sentence together between them.
I wonder whether people in the US and UK became fatigued/intimidated by those they perceived as technocrats. Unfortunately it’s been a bad time (climate change, global pandemic) for this to happen.
Oh we’ve had our fair share (fill) of articulate idiots too. Cameron was the apogee of that - if he was half as good as he sounded he’d still be running the place. But I can’t listen to either Trump or Johnson for any length of time because they speak so badly (and I know it’s all lies…)
