I’ve sent that to the missus for the next time we get a shit air b&B and are asked to review. The reply she sent was fair too kind, she wouldn’t let me write it. The host still took fucking offence at our gall, the wife then replied with something a little more terse. Still not on the hunter level I wanted

As an admirer of both authors, I’d dearly love to see the full correspondence!

When John Gielgud was forced out of the Nottingham Playhouse he turned his letter into a foyer poster. My FiL, theatre admin manager, was clever enough to keep it and it’s now on a wall in our house.

Very English, zero sweary bits,

An amazing aerial view of the Roman ruins of Timgad in Algeria. Founded as a colony in the reign of Trajan.

Anybody visited them ? I’ve never heard of them until this afternoon what a plum.

Torpedo Fish by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska.

A Vorticist, IIRC he was killed very close to the WW1 armistice.

For context it’s about the same size a large key.

Are they the ones that were in one of the Ewan and Charlie thingies? Long way down or something.

Sorry I didn’t watch that so no idea if it’s the same place.

I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it until yesterday
