Car Detailing Faff

I’m using a paste wax in a tin (Bilt Hamber - Double speed) it needs applying by hand. I removed it by hand too. You could remove it with the machine, but its no issue to wave a cloth around.

The machine polisher could be used for liquid waxes though, I have a wax pad for that task.

The Finish Kare paste wax I use goes on and comes off so easily you don’t need a machine like said above.

I only polish using a machine.

Have you tried that Tardis on yours Jim? If not try it and then use Bilt Hanger Korosol afterwards. You will notice a BIG difference imo.

No, I haven’t Tristan, but now time is on my side, think I’ll give it a go :+1:

That’s true, doesn’t make for any easy life though.

Problem now is everything that isn’t blue looks a bit shit, more effort required.

Keep at-it, soon be so perfect you’ll cry like a baby the first time a fly commits suicide…

I’m going to need support when that happens. I’m struggling to deal with particulates of garage dust landing on it at the moment.

Its now exposed to the elements, will be able to watch it slowly deteriorate from the comfort of my front room.

Happy with the result, swirl marks are 95%+ removed, looks so much better in the sun. Wheels have come up well, Its difficult to photo, too many reflections,

I’m toying with the idea of putting a ceramic coating on both of our cars. I did the Porker a few years ago but it needs doing again.

I’m tempted to put one on my daily.
Which coating have you used previously?
