Car Wants (maybe once, but now just anything Jim can find on the internet. 🙄)

Good car / horrid stripey nonsense.

Buy it: she’s your wife not your mum.

Yeah if only it was a Targa, and if only my wife was the one paying for it :smirk:

No I don’t want that one. I actually like the poo brown interior this seller apparently thinks is such a turn off.

Whereas I think the stick on stripes on a white car are the turn off.

6 speed manual, 2.9 engine, black, blue (cobalt or sapphire) paint, brown interior, sports exhaust and decent alloys, round airbag cover is my starter spec.

Does it really have brown :poop: interior?.. I didn’t look that closely at the ad, but struggle to believe they would have released a Martini tribute without some thought to the interior decor?

Red leather, surely?

My new favourite thing…

1965 Gordon Keeble 5.4 V8

If you have a spare £117k doing nothing, there is one for sale here

Looks nice.

I’ll make him an offer :+1:

Gorgeous looking car

I had one for a few years, a nice thing to drive with the Corvette lump up front - similar size and weight to a Mondeo with 300 hp / 360 lb ft and proper V8 soundtrack. The speedo goes up to 180 mph which is a bit optimistic, although the story goes that Jim Keeble tested every one on the Southampton bypass before they were sold, and sent them back for fettling if they wouldn’t do 145 - in 1964/5 on 185 section tyres :flushed:

They were pretty advanced for their day though; dual circuit brakes with discs all round and 2 servos, de Dion rear suspension, electric windows and cooling fans as standard. Killed off by the eye-watering price more than anything else :sob:

Bet you wish you’d kept it.

Lovely, there were a couple of them at Goodwood last summer.

Love  that greeny blue one.

Cool plate too

I think that one is the original alloy bodied prototype (the others are GRP) and therefore worth ££££.

Interesting that it appears to have been put back on original wheels as opposed to the alloys in the top pic.

Ought to be on wires really, but luvverly no matter what it sits on.
