Crouch?
nope, can’t hear anything…
Brook Audio in Huddersfield, thought the chap there was Steve.
Pretty sure that is owned by/affiliated with MCRU.
Hope he doesn’t make a move for Steepletone

Yep the big heco,s were sounding really good, then guy put led zep on reel t reel………I was with lee Henley who is a led zep completist and he said that’s the best version hes ever heard…it did convey the album in all its dynamic glory………nice one guy.
Can only imagine what one of the original tapes must sound like given that this one is 4T 3 3/4 ips.
Been trying to think how to describe the sound of the big Drieklang Heco’s in words. Not sure I can but here goes.
They are fast and full sounding with amazing balance and control over the whole frequency range. That’s about as good as I can do, you look at them and expect them to dominate the room with huge bass but actually they are surprisingly delicate and transfer so much musically that I could have listened to them all day. They are brilliant.
As others have said the Led Zep ii R2R was amazing and when Guy put it on the room immediately filled with people. We went back later in the day and he played Booker T and it was just the highlight of the show for us just all enveloping and ultimately musical which is what matters.
In conclusion I hope he will bring them to Settle in September that would make us all happy boys.
That jukebox was playing the best tunes every time i walked past
Where was it?
It was in the bar mate. You were stood right next to it when we were chatting down there.
Not much gets past me

Agree with your thoughts on these heco,s …this was the first time I had heard them, other than in munich in 2016 when they had them playing more or less as prototypes I would imagine, because they didn’t sound very good at all…….so I was mighty impressed that at cranage they performed well.
I’d heard them briefly at Deco Audio when I took them there (on Audion amps) & I’d heard Sodbury’s pair but with some Project class D amps. This was the first proper chance I’d had to hear them with amps & sources I actually know. So it was a useful weekend for me
Yep . I liked them a lot ,…glad you had them at the show …
Heard them at Deco with valves. Heard them at Paul’s with Class D.
They’ve sounded excellent to my ears whenever I’ve heard 'em. Even when playing “my” music.
I would have a pair in a heartbeat.
It’s a shame that they would never fit in the Cottage.
Well they would, but the furniture and rest of the equipment would have to go.
