Love the attention-to-detail with things like that. Proper applied markers too.
Just got this back from Sinn having had a new glass fitted. Its two glasses sandwiched together with a glass seal and a special adhesive, so couldnât do it myself annoyingly.
Now I canât decide if I want to keep it or not, didnât miss it whilst it was away. But now I have it, not sure I want to sell it.
Lovely looking thing. Instantly recognisable.
Used prices are gradually dragging themselves uphill as new prices rocket skyward, so if you donât need the cash, keep it; also 'cos they are seriously nice watches. Mine goes nowhere unless a U1 B shows-up at a sane price, which is never.
You didnât âbondâ with the Pelagos then?
Sold it to a guy who bought a gents and ladies matching datejusts, couldnât really say no when he asked if we had a lhd.
We do have a 16660 atm though that has my attention currently
Itâs effing tempting.
Do it
If it fits well
It is the sort of thing you need to try on, and you can!
Thinking exactly the same
I like thisâŚ
Glycine are good value.
It will have an ETA 2824 or Sellita equivelant movement which can be maintained easily by any decent watchmaker.
Never think about paying list price though, there are normally pretty hefty discounts avaiable if you keep your eyes open
I think I now open the most inaccurate watch on the forum, a time gain of 8 seconds.
Thatâs 8 seconds per minute!
Time to take up the offer from the local watch shop and drop in a new movement me thinks, the old one is FFFF.
While Hodinkee is Planet Smug to an almost toxic extent, their Type 1 edition in Titanium by Ressence is fucking stunning IMO:
That is a nice thing, but I would always be âWie spät ist es?â
I like it but I prefer the other Ressence designs.
I find if you wear just the one watch, even the gratuitously-wyrd designs quickly become at-a-glance. Less-so otherwise.
Watch out (if youâll pardon the pun )
Watch out @Kevin
