Not too insane especially with how good their overcoils are when the balances seem to stop and both ends of the oscillation. The parachute mechanism is also really hard to get the right amount of shock absorption. Plus it’s going to cost so much more than the incabloc or kif which are stamped out in their millions.

The clock is insanely accurate and when you place the pocket watch in the cradle it sets the time to the clocks, regulates the time keeping and winds the pocket watch. All mechanically which is absolutely insane. The King has one in his collection.

Had a bit of a watch day in London yesterday. Visited WoS in Oxford street to take a look at some Glashutte models. Mainly the 42mm Senator Excellence Date
and the 40mm PanoMaticLunar
both beautiful watches but it felt like the Senator should be 40mm and the PanoMaticLunar 42mm instead of the other way round. That would certainly be my preference. Anyway both out of my price range right now but nice to have a look in the metal. One day maybe. My one gripe is a 2 year warranty doesn’t seem long enough. I would expect 5 years for something at this price point.
Another reason for my trip was to collect a pre-owned Christopher Ward Bel Canto Cielo. The seller was a really nice guy (a former Bremont employee) and had replaced it with a CW Loco which looked so much nicer than I remember them. I really like CW as a company and would love to support them more but in general a lot of their model just don’t quite do it for me so I thought I would give the BC a try. I like the subtle blue colour of this model as opposed to some of the more in your face colours they use which are just too shouty. Being titanium its super light and at 40mm its not overly large. I suspect I will put it on a strap as the bracelet is a bit of a scratch magnet but it has a nice easy release system so simple enough to swap the out thank goodness as in general I hate removing bracelets.
I am hoping to pop down to CW later in the week to see the new Lumiere and Jump Hour models. Last time I was there I appeared to be the only person not wearing a CW 
The GO Senator is 
I really like the GOs, but the CW is a way more interesting watch, and actually more exclusive - not just fewer made, but a more independent maker - GO is, at heart, ‘just’ another Swatch Group imprint… Love it, well played 
Is that one of the mahoosive ‘Deep Sea’ (or whatever they called them…) models? Nice, in any case - itch = scratched
