Cocks on clocks (Part the Sekonda)

He’s quite entertaining in small doses. And I gather that yes, the shouty is mostly an act and he’s actually a nice chap.

His tier ranking of brands is quite funny,
It goes from ‘God Like’ at the top to ‘Hublot’ at the bottom
Hublot is not the only brand in the ‘Hublot’ tier.
Loads of other you tubers have copied this and done their own version

I cannot stand that prick.

Sorry for the Insta link but, err, it’s Insta.

Pretty grim Panerai comparison.

After buying one on a whim I actually rather like Panerai, you do have to do your due diligence to find the good ones though as there is an awful lot of shite in their lineup.

They are absolute strap monsters though and spending a few quid on straps can give you a whole watch collection.

At some point my Luminor will be joined by a Radiomir probably not soon though.

I think it’s more like £1800 but yeah, I’ve no idea what’s going on in the world right now with regards to pricing for most stuff.

I was initially drawn to the dial  but I don’t like the whole thing.

I don’t really understand Rado.
I don’t see many in the UK but a lot in shops in continental Europe.
In my head they are comparable with Tissot, but both brands are owned by Swatch so there must be differences.

I don’t know enough about them. They never appeal to me but I would like this dial in a different case. In fact, I think it’s usually their cases I have an issue with.

Their main party trick (aside from the cute-but-purposeless little swivelling anchor logo thingy) are their ceramic cases - they were (arguably) first to mass-market with such things, iirc the original DiaStar appearing in the early 1960s. I like some of the DiaStar reissues, but ~7 years ago they were £400-£800 in the usual permanent ‘sales’, but like everything else watchy, the prices are a joke now.

Gotta run on time. One to Watch…

in the good old days RR would have sued the twat and banned him from ever buying one again.

I bought a Rado because i used to scratch up metal cases and crystals at work. It took loads of abuse. The ceramic case looks like new still.

Big part of the appeal to me - clever how they managed to mimic polished metal finishes as well.

I went to look at Studio Underd0g in Time + Tide and in person they felt a bit flimsy. I’d need to have a good hard look before parting with money.

Face: good, bezel: not for me clive
