Cocks on clocks (Part the Sekonda)

Omega issue a new diver to celebrate the Winter Olympics.
43.5mm White ceramic bezel, titanium case, rubber strap £8,800

No, I haven’t a clue what diving has to do with the Winter Olympics either :person_shrugging:

I’d hate it at £880 to be perfectly honest.

Skip diving? Avalanche navigation?

Horrible

It sure is,
And Omega had been doing pretty well with recent releases.

Picked up one of these in the Beaverbrooks sale.

Purty :ok_hand:

I used to gaze longingly at the sky-blue version back when I still had traces of eyesight… Lot of watch for :peanuts: :peanuts: :peanuts:

Zenith ref G383 “Poker Chip”. I’ve not seen one of these before. Pretty nice IMO.

39mm is a bit small for me. But it’s so nice.

I think this will likely be the beginning of the end for the brand. A shame because they had some very nice offerings.

And I have never seen anyone wearing one.

That would look like a freckle on you.

I had my heart set on this Seiko Prospex Alpinist Mens Watch SPB121J1 Watch | Jura Watches

But think that pips it.

I like some of their stuff. It’s one of those brands that’s pretty well-known globally, but Brits have just never taken-to. It’s too midfield for Richemont, who’ve never seemed to have a clue what to do with it. In the right hands could compete with the likes of Longines and Hamilton.

I quite like this

Not limited in numbers but limited in time, only a week to order one.

I’m not a fan of artificial scarcity and I’m really not a fan of this kind of artificial peril game.

They did something similar with the pocket watch where you couldn’t actually try one, you just had to drop three grand blind. No thanks.

It’ll be well put together and ticks various boxes but the whole things feels a bit contrived.
