Coco BTJ-9000

My most treasured piece of equipment, sounds so much better than anything else I have tried.

Awesome thread. Truly brings home to me that I not only Know Nothing - but that my ‘knowledge’ should probably be expressed in negative numbers.

Also only just joined-up the dots that Herr Becker of AudioValve has taken certain liberties with the Coco-san design language -

Albeit those are mere ~80WPC monoblocs complete with PSU that can just about be lifted by a normal human being…

You, me, @chelseadave and @Wayward are very fortunate to be members of the coco LCR phono club :ok_hand:

Yours is the daddy!
Without yours none of the others would exist.
Mine is the same as yours, apart from a different case, different power supply, different resistors, different valves and caps and less gain. :grinning:

Trigger’s BTJ :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Although the LCR eq circuit is fairly much consistent with any other stage the trick is in how it is impedance matched. I did the same in my Counterfeit Stones tribute act stage after Pete showed me some of his workings including what ended up as your stage.

We could actually have a hifi focussed bakeoff at some point and try and get all of these in one place at one time…

What an odd idea :thinking:

I think Pete’s own one is the daddy. :+1: I hope it’s its still working. It had a nasty fall in the back of the van on the way back from Scalford - the year of Mik’s TT extravaganza. Collective noun for turtables… A Spinning? 🤷

It’s a rotation of turntables.

Is that risk worth taking ? Isn’t it how disaster movies start ?

It was a once in a lifetime conjunction.
A collection never again to be seen together in one place.

Other than Mik’s front room.
