Computer games and that

Started playing Borderlands (on Switch) last night. I like the art style. I don’t really understand how all the multiplayer stuff works. I think I’m still on the training wheel type missions and I already find it pretty hard…

LOL, just discovered I play EVE with this fella. @MrKettle

Didn’t think that concert pianist was a profession very compatible with splatting lots of spare time on MMO stuff.

Gpu fitted along with a cpu/motherboard upgrade.

New desk found on Facebook today, happy kiddo.

Just started Disco Elysium. Classic game for the meatman playing a twisted degenerate cop, who wakes up naked, surrounded by empty bottles of booze, with R2R deck playing, tape strewn all over the floor.

It had me hooked from this very first scene. Oh and green snakeskin shoes

I enjoyed it. I’ll do another playthrough at some point as they added some stuff.

Steam summer sale on now for a couple of weeks.

It’s maybe because I’m slow at getting through games but I usually get quite far into a game then move on to something else.

I was really enjoying Borderlands 2 and made it ~80% of the way through then started Skyrim. Haven’t played Borderlands 2 since. Also haven’t eaten, slept, washed… :stuck_out_tongue:

that is brilliant - a colleague and i were discussing it and it is a shame (a cheat) he uses silicon memory and not some proper core memory.

But from someone who has designed a load of microprocessors - a good effort and fun.

I like how Colossus was the inspiration. Also like how the article states ‘meanwhile the machine makes an impressive room heater.’.

i dont really get that - perhaps the valve aesthetic, cos the archteciture certainly isnt the same

I have no idea on that. If that’s the case I guess it must have been the aesthetic.

I read something about retropie, and it got me thinking about Amiga emulation. I started looking into it, and it seems to be a bloody nightmare! Has anyone done it?

Yes. Basically Kick Off 2 reasons :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It’s the kickstart ROMs that are confusing me, or more specifically how to get hold of them if you don’t own a Windows machine since Amiga Forever seems to be the way to get hold of these.

SCUMMVM on the Pi.

Also played Beneath A Steel Sky, which I’m pretty sure I only ever played the demo of as a kid. I remember it coming out, and I remember wanting it (I loved 2000AD apart from anything else)…no idea why I didn’t get it. Short on paper round money I guess, but looking at when it came out perhaps that was the point that music was taking over as an interest and my money was going on CD’s.
