Computer games and that

Completed Bloodborne, and had promised myself Elden Ring if i did (…or “Elven Blood” as the wife calls it)…it’s immense, can’t see myself playing anything else for some time.

Had to move the PS5 and plugged it into the (4k, HDR?) living room TV.

Up until now it’s only been plugged into an HD cast-off.

I think that has just cost me a new TV. And maybe a Sonos Ray.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don’t know what this is, but the console wanted to set it up.

Arguably at the sizes of TV’s we buy in Yurp and the distances we view them at, HDR is more visually impressive than the jump from 1080 to 4K. The amount of extra information you can perceive coming out of black is quite the jump.

The last time I played any flavour of Wipeout was years ago on 32" TV.

Big (for me) TV plus a boom-bang soundbar has made for a most enjoyable morning.
