Covfaffe - the road to despair, calling at futility and disappointment

Commercial bean to cup machine at the golf club (which produces just about adequate coffee) has broken down.
Was told this morning that a new one will be £13K

Fuuuck. What a joke.

They could buy a Black Eagle and hire me to operate it for less.

Just saw this pop up:

This place in St Albans serves the best flat white I’ve ever had.

Turns out they sell their house roasts as beans, so interested to give them a try.

Nice website too. Like the packaging.

My current “work” blend is quite nice.

Would be nicer in something other than a cafetierre.

American tea = piss water

Yeah, you didn’t watch it did you

Nope, thought I’d hedge my bets by calling you a cunt anyway :+1:

watched it, hahahahaha…

“tea should only be brewed for 30 secs”
“over extracted tea”

decent have gone full potato

The La Scala looks like a good e61 machine if anyone wants to dabble with espresso, if it’s had little use £500 is a bit of a bargain given they are around £1200 new

The Pu’erh tea I use starts off with around 12 seconds and is used for multiple brews where the time increases with each brew. Definitely difficult to drink if left too long.

It’s doing a series of brews though. It’s not 30s total.

even where they are using 4x 30sec brews for what they call builders or British tea, which I assume is just Assam that’s nowhere near enough.

I’m not a tea fan and rarely drink it but I leave the tea bag in for a long time (5mins+)

You just program the steep to whatever you want then :man_shrugging:

Oh fuck you were being serious about it :scream:

:+1:

Not interested in the decent machine or tea so wasted on me.

(I reserve the right to slag it off with no knowledge of tea brewing though)
