My mum had the Pfizer jab and she was saying it was itchy
A pal of mine just got his first jab. Age 65
SiL got herâs today.
Sheâs sharp-end NHS.
Must be a big relief for her.
Am I alone in thinking it is a disgrace that the NHS hasnât been vaccinated en masse at this stage?
My turn for the jab tomorrow afternoon.
TBF I think SiL might not need it.
If the virus tried to have a go sheâd probably just stare it down.
No you are not alone
Also anyone who is made to work with the public, even if it means employers had to fork out for it
Have the MPs all been vaccinated per chance?
Teachers should also be offered the vaccine early.
Other than this Iâve no idea
I donât think so. Tigger hasnât.
Nor have the NHS people who do the Covid updates with the PM as they are not front line staff
I have written to my MP, to say, not only should all front line NHS staff be vaccinated now, but there second jabs should be at the three to four week interval, not ten to twelve weeks.
She has replied, and I have asked her to put it to the ministers.
I think Chris Whitty is front line and was working in the wards over Xmas.
Heâs had the virus too, hasnât he, back at the start along with Cummings, Hancock, Johnson, Ferguson et al ?
VB
I imagine theyâll all know what state their anti bodies are in.
see Oxford scientist on the news talking about new dataset showing AZ more effective with 12 week interval than original interval.
Are Covid passports going to become a thing?
I must say, the idea of legions of OAPs fucking off on holiday or packing out restaurants while demanding that the unvaccinated young are paid minimum wage to serve them lobster gives me some pause for thought.
In some ways the young are the altruistic ones here, giving up freedoms to prevent a disease that is unlikely to do them much harm. Seems a bit of a kick in the teeth here really.
Itâs so insane itâs got to happen, eh?
No, it wonât happen in the UK
Given that the different vaccinesâ efficacy depends on the CV variant encountered such passports maybe of limited use.
