These are my other pickings , apart from a few candies , poor in freebies
Good effort. No tee shirts?
Fuck, one pen! These shows are loosing their luster. Gone are the days you could cover your stationary costs for the year.
+2 points for Doug who has kept it old school actually
Enjoyable show.
I was asked to do a talk about 10 albums you need to hear before you die.
The 10 albums I used
The Skatalites - Foundation Ska
Blood, Sweat & Tears - Blood, Sweat & Tears
Beastie Boys - Paul’s Boutique
Laura Nyro - Eli & 13th Confession
Pixies - Doolittle
Jimmy Smith - The Cat
The Black Keys - The Big Come Up
The Meters - Struttin’
Betty Davis - Nasty Girl
& (Saturday) Linton Kwesi Johnson - Bass Culture
( Sunday) Mr Bloe - Groovin’ with Mr Bloe
I played a track off each of them.
The system was supplied by Doug Brady HiFi
It consisted of

Gryphon Audio Essence Pre amp £15,000
Gryphon Audio Antileon EVO Mono blocks £66,000 a pair
Marten Parker Quintet Diamond Edition £37,000 a pair
Plus cables & other tomfoolery
It sounded well!
The organisers presented a cake to Doug he showed up as it was his birthday …Good job Dean wasn’t there as they did it …He was doing his talk on 10 best albums you should here before you pop off .It was very good …Shame some of the exhibitors didn’t follow suit instead of the usual suspects
Wow, 139000 quid, plus cable foo!
You can add on something north of £20k for that DCS unit too.
That sounds like a really enjoyable do!
And from the photos it was clearly popular.
It was great.
I’ve got pretty much all of those (and am not dead, yet).
I hope Doug Brady had the sense to pay a proper fee, if he just said he would cover Dean’s expenses the lunch tab alone would have left him well out of pocket!
The DCS Rossini Streaming DAC plus clock is £34,500
Dean’s rider…All. The. Food.
The Gryphon power amps are 175 watts per channel Class A. They were quite warm.
None, I won’t be sweating it.
