I referred a little while back to Crawley (for once not) playing like a “demented piss wizard” - you can be forgiven for not knowing that one!
His singing is more demented than his batting!
I’ve just got tickets to my first test match in over 30 years, going to the Saturday at Old Trafford.
Guaranteed to be rained off now.
Should be great fun, are you in the temporary stand ?
The Lightning Stand C! Meant to have a good atmosphere and be close enough to some bars.
£57, no stupid extra charges either. Think the last time I went to Lords in the early 90’s it was about £7.50 on the gate!
Ok, perfect day coming up. Test Match and tailoring, then a bit of fishing.
Archer back! Can we dare to dream? Can he be the Archer of 2019? I remember watching the spell v Steve Smith at Lord’s live on telly. Not sure I have seen many more extraordinary spells of fast bowling by an England player. Suddenly, it was like we had all the things.
The psychological impact of injuries like that must be a factor though, does he feel like he can fully trust his body? He looked to be bowling well for Sussex the other week , though. Only went for around 2 an over.
Kinda hope we don’t see him for a couple of days!
Batting!
Not sure about tests, but any captain who chose to bowl in these conditions wouldn’t make it out of the dressing room in one piece.
Again England doing the unexpected, scoring at about half the rate they have the rest of the series!
Stokes could do with some runs here.
Crawley batting like he’d seen a ghost…
Care to explain that?
Jumpy. Knocked off centre.
He gets a lot of well deserved stick when he plays a rash shot or hangs his bat out to dry and edges it to the slips and that’s fair enough, but yesterday he batted more sensibly and got a jaffa.
I’ll criticise him all day for some of the shots he plays when he gifts his wicket but yesterday wasn’t one of those.
That’s some catch by Root!
Fantastic.
211 test catches now.
Meanwhile
Huge wicket, nicely taken standing up too.
