Cycling

Time for the annual insanity that is Redbull Rampage. The consequences of getting it wrong here don’t bear thinking about.

Did a cycle. More than I have done for a few years tbh.

Feel a bit broken and sad.

It was quite nice though.

I spied that earlier Mark - looks a great route.

It is a nice route. Mostly on the sea front and quiet roads. Not to be done in the summer really as there are too many pedestrians on the shared paths.

Enough cafes etc on the way round too.

Just feel quite a bit out of shape compared with when I cycled regularly a few years ago. But ca n do summat about that.

A decent run out considering you’re not getting much cycling time.

Wasn’t sure where to post this but I did not know Panasonic made bikes!

I’ve also never heard of, or seen bike by them. Maybe they weren’t imported officially over here.

Don’t think they were imported into Europe. Even when the Panasonic brand sponsored a TdF team in the 80s they road European bikes.

Other notable Japanese companies that make bikes in Japan but don’t export outside Asia include Bridgestone and Yonex

Gloucester to Bristol - 66km on a mountain bike today, mixture of off-road and tarmac. 4 punctures between 2 of us! Lucky for me, I just had the 1. Knackered.

Impressed. That is a lot on an MTB.

Wow that’s very impressive. What’s your bike?

Took the hardtail yesterday and rode it with the forks locked out for 99% of the day.

A very cool looking ride :ok_hand:

Love his YouTube channel.

It’s mostly brown right now, being covered in Severnside gloop

Fettling the road bike tomorrow. Replacing gear cables, adjusting said gears, and replacing the bar tape with some fancy German product: Ergon BT Road. £32!!! For bar tape!!!

Edit: and adjusting the saddle angle…

Looks ‘interesting’ :flushed::sweat_smile:

Cav barfing on the climbs and half an hour behind…

And a break away that just might do it.

This Tour is all about the question: can he?! About half a dozen chances coming a few days in.
Sir Cav is already a legend. He’s so close to being untouchable.

Stunning French win.

Just watched the highlights, what a ride from Pogačar today, done Vingegaard for the first time on the tour. Two brilliant riders with Cav on the wings for a 35th win. Looking to be a brilliant Tour this year.
