Have a few photos the wife took when they went through La Roche Chalais today (it’s about 15 mins from our house):

Very very sad for Cav what a career…

First cycle for a while. Legs seem to have fallen off.
Looked around to see where wifey was and fell in to a bush.
Must do more if the cycling thing.

Went to Edinburgh early to see the start of the Men’s Road Race - interesting to see if either of these two win

They look like they should feature in Tour de France, Tour de France :slightly_smiling_face:

They’re two of the best riders just now Mike.

The top one is Remco Evenopol current World Champion and due to ride Vuelta Espana next month - the bottom one is Matthieu Van Der Poel who did ride the TdF and probably my favourite rider at the moment. :+1:

That was a great race, despite the knobheads who glued themselves to the road.

Woo hoo Anne delighted she got the new World Champ’s autograph at the start.

Tremendous race, although still think10 laps was too much, but what do I know.

Delighted M VdP won he’s just such a phenomenal rider to watch.

Terrific race and what an effort from MVDP.

Well done Anne!

MVdP, what a ride. Brutal race, immensely entertaining, bonkers that the fireworks kicked off with 150km to go.

He rides again later this week looking for :rainbow: in MTB to add to CX & RR, only only Pauline Ferrand-Prevot & Zoe Backstedt (junior) have done it before in the same year. Will be cheering on Pidcock mind :grimacing:

I would fancy Pidcock in the MTB as that must have taken so much out of MVdP but looking forward that.

I wonder how Sagan will get on as well as he looks in great shape.

Sagan is an interesting outlier, he’ll start from the back so it’ll be a job to move through the field. Hopefully Pidcocks early season exploits will give him a decent start position

The winning steed Dan you chose well

Was out on mine today, it really is good. Crap wheels on his, he’d have won by more had he been on mine

KettleJnr1 wanted to go to the new bike trails at Newbold Comyn today, so I went with him. Somehow my Tern Joe C21 missed the prize for “least appropriate bike to actually do a blue course” as a result of someone who was going round on a Brompton.
