Average speed is now reading a consistent 12mph. Also practicing targeted braking. Less brake dust on calipers which is good. I can’t stand dirt so the whole thing is thoroughly cleaned and detailed after every ride.

Ok serious(ish) question for you lot.
The precious was the 2011 Liquigas / Cannondale team issue frame and forks and I have the proper Liquigas transfers that came with it that went on the forks.
Now I’m not one for showing off or drawing attention to myself and, lord knows, there’s enough fannies riding road bikes. Also, being three times the girth of Vincenzo Nibali doesn’t help with the self esteem 
but it is the heritage of the frame and forks.
Would it be just another poncy look at me thing ?

I’d love me one of those Shimano Neutral Service Bikes. All of this is cool as fuck.
Upwards of £8,000 for one I would guess so it would be a nice thing to blag.

I fancied getting the paintwork re-done back to factory fresh but was told it would likely cost about £3,000 due to the amount of graphics so that ain’t happening !
The answer is always… buy another bike.

If only I had the eight bags of sand and a drun to store the bike in…

Last day of freedom (!) Before returning to work was spent on a 28ish mile long ride.
This was fuelled by a gel thingy which worked well.
Stop for coffee and cake in town was much appreciated.
I like this community. Words of encouragement from a bloke at a junction really helped:
“Well done […] you’ll only get better at it!”

Up early for a 65km spin around Bristol. Not too lumpy a route, and coffee/cake taken at the halfway point. Beautiful morning for it.
