That’s the brake lines at the front done. The two long lines across the bulkhead have been a right bastard They’re not perfect but after two days pissing around the job’s good enough for me
I’ve just finished fitting the 1/4 inch line for the clutch. I made the pipe on Sunday but it took me two hours to tweak it and get it looking something like. I’m reasonably happy with it but unfortunately I left my phone at work so no pics until tomorrow. One thing I can tell you is that Chinese Kunifer is a bitch to bend
A couple of pics of the 1/4 inch clutch line.
The short pipe to the slave was a pain. I’m not happy about the torturous route of the flexi pipe and might even redo that yet. We’ll see when the exhaust goes in.
I don’t like spending money on tools if I can make them myself and here’s my pipe bender and pipe tweaker.
Some things you just have to pay good money for though. This flaring tool has served me well for thirty five years
I have to ask, what the car is, that is worthy of all this love and attention?
It’s an ‘85 Range Rover. I’ve been restoring it on and off for the last 16 years
Said every 1985 Range Rover owner
And every 2007 Range Rover owner.
Ah, right, that really is a labour of love (penance) then.
I haven’t been near it for nine months or so whilst I was working on my GTM and then two weeks ago one of my work mates bet me I couldn’t get it on the road for Christmas. That was the kick up the arse I needed to resume work on the old girl
What work is being done on it bob?
Lol, the pop up.
Thought you could have done that yourself with a hacksaw and gaffer tape
Will it make an appearance at Lopwell ?
It’ll premiere at Settle, but will be finished by the time Lopwell gathers.
Got the Landy scanned today, both photogrametry and Laser. I have the visualisation, just being converted to a point cloud. From this i can then take measurements to make templates for the interior.
And see how out of square everything is?
That’s the idea, i can then allow for this so the interior i make is square and level
