Is your oncology consultant at Clatterbridge?
Yep. You have asked me this before.
I can barely remember my own shit, donāt expect me to remember yours
Great result.
Iād have thought low impact exercise like walking would be the kind of exercise they would work without stressing your body.
Yep. I do my lockdown compliant 1 hour top speed waddle every day possible. Anything more strenuous/longer duration leads to the wheels coming off my wagon. I need to budget my energy carefully or I cannot function for work, let alone be a functional part of my family.
Been neglecting training a bit so thought Iād have a really good session and try box squats. Never done them before and I was above parallel so I did more reps with the weight than I thought I would. It was a bit awkward as well, will take some getting used to (especially with my equipment).
It felt like Iād hardly done anything so I did a set of standard squats after with 65%. After this I did bodyweight to feel the groove and shit, parts of my hamstrings I didnāt know were there were on fire. I left it there for the day haha.
Nice, always good to mix things up. Iāve never tried those.
Ive download an app called WL Analysis, it analyses a video of you lifting recorded from the side, and shows the bar path along with bar speed and distance. Iāve been concentrating on getting my squat as straight as possible. The app showed i was straight down and slightly curved on the way up, not much but enough for me to need to correct it. Getting there now.
Interesting, will check that out.
Excellent
You either have some huge traps or thatās an Olympic lift!
Never tried that before either.
Or, is that just showing a single frame of the weights with your body shown after moving?
Thats not meā¦
Just a link to the app, looks like heās doing and Olympic lift
Ah ok. I only looked at the picture at first š¤¦. Now downloading the app.
You film your set using your phoneās normal camera, then upload it into the app, it then allows you to play your set back (in the app) with the bar path superimposed over the the top
Makes sense.
Had to speak to my doctor about something and they wanted an idea of my fitness level, after saying what I do in a week they told me no point following on with the investigation as it obviously has no effect on my life style.
Now Iām wondering if I do too much in a week
I do three 45 minutes online martial arts sessions
Two 45 minutes weights sessions
Run a total of 45-50km
Walk about 20-30km
One 30 minute yoga session
Classic, depends on your goals question.
Thatās the thing that always changes tbh. At the moment itās getting faster in my running and probably will be for another 3-4 months. But then I will probably get bored of that and start focusing on my main lifts again.
Needs more yoga āā
Yoga for speed?
I had cut it down when I did more running, being hypermobile I guess I didnāt see much benefit
