It’s an anagram of “About oat radii”, so maybe the porridge thread makes sense
Second time lucky for @TMC. Sausage finger of doom for the win.
I seem to spend more time listening to Spotify than vinyl these days.
Maybe I should get rid of fifteen or so turntables…
Do. It.
Think the audio bit is scaring new punters away
Can’t think why. Home audio is a fairly simple business these days & doesn’t require much commitment to do well.
Although I have a decent small collection of albums on vinyl, recently I have found myself streaming much, much more. Vinyl, for some sound superb, others not so much. Against find it, take it out if it’s of its outer and inner sleeve, put it on the turntable, lower the arm, 20 or so minutes again, repeat lift arm, Turn it. Return vinyl to its sleeve, return full thing To its place on the shelf, find the next one.
Digital, open Roon, then quboz, limitless supply of music, browse, pick album, play, pick next album, que. Go make by coffee , return to room, oh joy its not sat in a run out groove making tick, tick noises. And some albums sound superb, others not so much.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…
but, this IS the joy ! This whole paragraph is exactly the bit I would miss.
