Iwata horn clone looks
Andy.
Thanks - I have caught the 3d printing bug and I have recently got a larger printer so that I can make it easily a single 330 horn 20mm thick in six parts all internally doweled . In fact I can gang print it and help keep the lay on adjacent joints identical

You noticed that I made them goldy coloured for Wayne
So, have you let slip that Wayne is going DIY horns?? ![]()
Well the sawdust does appear to lead that way but that could be a false trail.
I have no inside knowledge. He’s a bloke with a wedge of cash and no speakers.
Pretty sure that he actually has a plan.
Not so much a plan but a vague idea ![]()
Worst kept non secret ever.
If I had to guess I go with re purposed pommel horse speakers
I am thinking of making myself a nice looking speaker wiring loom - external crossover box to drivers
and like the look of this
- has anyone done self twisting in a drill? does it actually work?
Iirc, @coco posted some pics of his twisted efforts a while back ![]()
Think it was in the small tool thread - he was using a specialised tool for twisting wires.
just buy it, less grief
and it’s audiophile ![]()
I saw this stuff - I think you are right so ordered
we were planning a hint of orange in the room
cheers
The drill twisting thing does work well, and makes the cable much easier to handle. But yeah, there’s a lot to be said for just buying it - not least because twisting it will change the inductance, which may have unexpected results.
10w aleph was a bit buzzy on the new speakers so it now has a new off board power supply with chokes.
Buzz be gone.
Excellent. How many kg per watt now?
Not a clue, it’s still rather svelte compared to the typical @coco creation.
Very nice, is that a flash version of what you did to my mono Aleph5s?
