Exactly the same as what’s in the 5s. The original case just didn’t have space for the chokes and I was concerned the audio side of things was just too close to the transformer etc so went with a brute force external approach rather than work out what was actually causing the buzz.
Now I want external power supplies ![]()
Won’t help yours. Big case with lots of room for routing etc. An advantage of mono blocks really.
Doesn’t stop the want
Have at it then
, your time and money to waste.
LoL, was only joking. ![]()
if you need any JBL 2405 I have two pairs, one pair have original blue JBL diaphragms and the other have a JBL blue and a new replacement.
Hurry up,lopwell is only a couple of months away
Stress balls
So after building these for someone and him setting his horns up went round the other day with some tweeters for him to try. After trying my fostex t825 he’s now in search for something. I’ve left a pair of fostex ft96h with him in the mean time but he’s now looking for some high efficiency tweeters to add in. Something along the lines of Fostex, Jbl, Yamaha etc etc. Any other recommendations?
JBL 2405 of course ![]()
I did see your above post. How much did you want for a pair.
I’ll get them out of the garage and make sure they’re ok but something like £550
I’ll let him know!
These look the part.
Current Rabski-esque level of progress on the hacking of the 26 preamp. Last thing to do is to check the voltage from the heater transformer raw DC supply (and that the blue LEDs light up) and then wire and test the Coleman regs.
Not really diy but rather than start another thread thought I’d post here.
Trying to set this up after Wayne forgetting to take his dr feickert home with him.
With the ruler set at 295mm which seems to be in the ballpark of mentioned spindle to pivot for the sme 3012 and with the dl103 slid all the way back in the headshell I’m a good 2 mm or so hitting the b or l point on step one and about 3mm from the s point. Do I just forget about the spindle to pivot and slide the 3012 back more till I hit the desired point?
It’s a DL103 so it won’t make any difference ![]()
